how hot does everyone's chipset run ? Im only asking cause I think mine might be runing a little too hot ever since I pulled my chipset hs off and removed the thermal pad to replace it with thermal compound. My load temps are around 45c. Just 3c lower than what my cpu is under load.

I have an nForce2 chipset, I have not tested the actuall temp, but it is cool to the touch. Even with the stock passive cooler it didn't get very warm, since I already had a Swiftech 159a chipset cooler I went a head and replaced it (I opted to leave off the fan though).

Well maybe thats my problem then, the chipset just might be runin too hot. After I took of the thermal pad I actually had to lower my fsb and can only run at like 3.1g. At 3.2g my machine freezes up and reboots, just like if my cpu was runin hot but I KNOW my cpu isnt the problem since my load temp is like 47c.

Mine has been running 23° C to 33° C since last night with a cpu load temp of 49° C...

MY is running at cool 35 cpu/mobo, although I do have C&Q, so it's cooler than usual. When it's under load, it's about 5~10 degrees higher. Now, the temp is at cool winter night, so it's super cool. Summer it can reach to like 50ish.
