I was going to try that one time , someione told me that something to do with the magnetic field produced with the electricity and magnets would be bad for my PC

i did something similar, i put a box fan next to my case with no side panel. It didn't really lower idle temps but holy lord did it drop load temps lol

I can't say I've ever had the urge, those fans are unshielded and create all kinds of EMI.

That with that big dead spot where the hub of the fan is, appears to be right over the CPU too.

I saw an article about an overclocking contest in Singapore or Taiwan, or the like, and the winners of the aircooled catagory had a smaller box fan on the side of their rig.

hah, i remember that guys system from back in the slot A athlon days. if you look closely, you can even see what looks to be one of the golden orb slot A heatsinks... ahh, the memories :)

Shouldnt matter, there's enough inside that case to stir up there air, and with the volume hes moving it will hit the CPU.

I've used my rotary fan in through my unwindowed window when my graphic card was giving me issues.
