I'm fairly green when it comes to overclocking so I'm hoping someone here can tell me if I'm pushing my system too far.
I recently got a new motherboard(Asus P4P800 SE) so I decided to put it to good use and overclock my P4 1.6A processor. By setting the FSB to 660MHz, the processor is running stable at 2639MHz with a core voltage of 1.7V and a temp of 46C under 100% continuous load. My Corsair XMS PC3000 is running at 412MHz(no voltage or timing changes). Is this ok for the memory? I know it's rated for 367Mhz...
Thanks a bunch- :P

If you were critically stressing your memory, you would get blue screens. I would find out what the voltage range your memory is rated at and increase it to the manufactures spec and you could also try lowering your timings to get the most out of it.
btw, very nice overclock :!:

Thanks for the tips!
Much appreciated-

Since you are still running stock timings I wouldn't mess with your timings. Corsair is very good ram (IMO the best out there), and it should be able to handle that overclock. The only thing is you might be reducing its lifespan. The good thing about Corsair is that
"Corsair?s memory products carry a lifetime warranty. This means that Corsair products are guaranteed to operate, as specified by their datasheet, and in the operating environment for which they were intended, for the life of the product. "
Because of that I would recommend running them at spec. They should be able to handle the stress though...

I tried playing around with the timings/voltages but it didn't seem to like it very much and Sandra wasn't reporting that much of an increase in speed so I decided to change the timings/voltages back to their defaults.
Everythings running great now.
Thanks for the info Beemer.
