i was thinking about AMD XP 3200+ and an Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe or MSI K7N2 Delta2-LSR or MSI KT6V-LSR

i dont really kno much... btw, im a gamer.

Well, let me be the first (or try to, anyway)

AMD 2500+ Mobile, easily overclocked to 3200+ (we'll help you do that)
Abit NF7-S (not NF7-S2)

and you'll still have around 100 bucks left for a decent power supply

The Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe is a very good board, and as fstroupe mentioned, go with one of the AMD mobile chips for some serious power on the cheap.

I'll second what he said. I'm still using my NF7-S even though I also have a A64 system.................. 8)

hmmm ok, i might go towards that direction, but someone gave me an opinion. told me to get amd64...

AMD Athlon 64 DTR3200 s754 - $190
DFI Lanparty UT 250GB s754 - $99.99

and told me to use my current ram pc2100

... it sounds fine to me too, but will my ram still be compatible with it? hmmm

for an Athlon 64 system, pc2100 RAM will not cut it. 64 bit chips run at 200 fsb (pc3200).
