9600XT for HL2 ?

ASUS ATI RADEON 128MB 9600XT DDR TV DVI

Will that card play Halflife 2 at decent settings , I currently am using an FX 5200 will that will i notice a difference with that card ?

Also whats the difference between the 9600XT / 9600 / 9600 Pro ?

Which 1 of these cards is best ?

What would the equivalent nVidia card to the 9600XT ?

I know nuthing about graphics cards as i dont play games except from UT2004 and now HL2 , so any help with this would be great .

Also if anyone else can recommend another card that will give good performance and good 3Dmark score for a budget of £100 or $191 in US money please let me know .

The 9600XT is the fastest of those three cards & will out perform 5200.
However, if you look around a bit you might can find a 9800Pro just inside your price range. :wink:

I have a 9600XT and it's a good card. If you're spending though about $200USD then I would go with the 9800 Pro.

If I'm not mistaken the 5900 will out preform the 9600 but I'd look around say like tomshardware or something looking for a breakdown of the two.
