DVD's are playing only top right quarter of the picture ???

Hi ,

Ive installed PowerDVD 5 and Intervideo WinDVD 4 and they BOTH only play the top quarter of the picture .


All i can see in the DVD playing box [ and when its on full screen ] is a really close up picture of the top right quarter of the picture


Theres like credits going bye with only half the word over at the left of the screen .


Anyone got any idea why this is ?

It has never dont this before , it has always worked fine .

I just got a new replacement videocard FX5900XT could this have anything to do with it ?

check your display properties and make sure nothing is out of whack there. if that doesn't fix it, make sure your on the latest drivers for both vid card and monitor, and reinstall your DVD apps.

I updated to the latest Forceware for my FX5900XT at the weekend , and it must have been that , because i uninstalled them and installed an older set i had got with the card and that fixed it .


Must have been conflicting with something in my system , or there not quite right .

Anyway fixed now , Cheers . :)
