I have,
512MB DDR400 PC3200 Ram
AMD Athlon XP 3000 oem Barton Core
Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe

I was told by Micro Direct to run the ram at 400, but don't know how to do it and they won't explain it to me...any ideas?

Thanks

That would be your FSB settings in the advanced section of your bios. Since its a dual channel mobo, set your FSB at 200 to run at 400 DDR (Double Data Rate).

Hi,
Looking at my bios settings, it has
FSB Spread Spectrum, set at 0.50% , I can change this to 1.00%.
Is this all I have to do?

Cheers

Uh...

First you should download cpu-z from cpuid.com to check what your ram is running at now (it should display 200 for 400Mhz DDR).

The FSB speed spectrum has nothing to do with what you're trying to accomplish...

You just want the CPU frontside bus at 200Mhz and the FSB:DDR ratio at 1:1 or "DDR400"...
