I have no idea how to do it.

I have an ATI radeon 9600 with the GPU clock running at 324 mhz. I have no idea what that means, but everest says it so i believe it. so.. can i overclock it?

btw, why does my CPU temp in the bios go up to 46+ but only 38 in windows?

You can use a program called ATiTool to overclock your 9600, should be easy to find with Google.

Also, try downloading Motherboard Monitor, to see which of your temps are reading correctly.

They were both right, because when i stayed in the BIOS long enough to get it that high and then went right to windows, everest said it was at 40some celcius. after a bit of cooling down though it went to 38 and stabalized.

Also, when i reformatted (this past weekend, i got the processor, motherboard, fan, and memory for christmas) the CPU got up to 52 celcius.

i'm guessing that's not good. maybe i installed the fan incorrectly?

Its a little on the warm side, but I see them running hotter, especially the newer Intel chips.

you can also try PowerStrip. i have had a lot of success with it.
