that was fast writing, jebus!

I dont know how I feel about the performance-- my noctua nh-u12f is putting my 3.2ghz e6600 load at 46 when my heat is up too high.. i think those 3 ish degrees aren't worth the ~140 dollars.. what do you think?

sorry about the three edits
.. four.

Would have been nise to see just how well it stood up to some cooling in the same performance/price class (Highend Water). But still no all that bad of performance I guess. I'll be sticking to my water cooling for the time being though................

yeah I agree. I have started adding all of the temp results from heatsinks, etc to a database that I will continue to use, so I will be able to compare new items to these products 8)

yeah, but also there is a lot to consider. id bet money your noctua heatsink cant product idle temps of 29 C? (btw im not knocking noctua, they are great sinks, I have one in my work computer)... just saying its difficult for an air cooler to produce such low idle temps...

which, when you think about it.... unless you run folding@home or SETI... how often is your CPU at 100% usage for an extended period of time anyway?
